Wedding hair and makeup - recommendations?

I'm pretty sure this is my first post here - so Hi!

I'm getting married on Sunday 10/10/10!

I just moved here to Phoenix to be with my fiance, so I don't have a hair stylist already, and am looking for recommendations.

We're on a tight budget, so I'm not looking for one of the packages at a fancy salon for hundreds of dollars.  I'm looking for someone REAL.  I'm pretty low stress and low maintenance - and am looking for someone similar.

If you know of anyone, or have any "Don't even THINK of this place" - I'm open to hear from everyone!

    Where do you live?  I have a great girl ,but she is in Gilbert...

    I'm in the same boat.  My wedding is in Phoenix, but I live out of state and don't know of anyone good there.  I'll be hijacking your suggestions as well;) Hope that's ok!

    If you don't mind not having your makeup done at your ceremony location, you might want to try some great cosmetic counters. They are free and alot of the girls tons & tons of training [worked in cosmetics for almost 3 years @ 2 different retailers]. MAC counters are always good, NARS & Bobbi Brown in Neimens, Chanel counters in department stores, etc. Plus you can always do a free trial to see if you like the makeup artist first.

    I might do this or at least set up my bridesmaids.

    I have a girl I love for hair. She is self employeed - she rents her station as a small salon in Tempe.

    Where are you living? She's pretty flexible - if you are getting married locally she may come to you.

    I LOVE my make-up girl!! Her name is Stephanie Nault (www.stephanienault.com) and I am so happy I booked her. She did my engagement photo shoot recently (I figured if I was going to do a trial I might as well put it to use) and my make-up in the e-photos turned out incredible. Even my FI was impressed and asked me to try and do my make-up like that more often when we go out.
    She is incredibly affordable and travels to you, which I am excited about b/c my venue has a bridal suite. Her website has some of her work, but I can finally say from experience that she is great!

    my stylist teams up with her friend to do hair and makeup for weddings. they're the cheapest i've seen for doing BOTH hair and makeup.

    if you wanna get to know my stylist, her name is Kelly and she works at Pink the Salon right across from ASU on Apache Blvd. in Tempe.

    I've got a great person that uses Organic and Natural products for both hair and makeup - she did makeup/hair for our wedding, again for reception (different dress), my mom, and my aunts.  She's in Glendale, and reasonably priced.

    My hair girl is JJ and she and her co-worker Stephanie are awesome! They will come to you. Her number is 602-284-1555. They are currently out of a salon in Scottsdale.
