As most of you guys know, I was having some issues with my MOH. Well, I just convinced my FI that I DO need someone to stand next to me, not just the four at the corners, to hold my bouquet, my gloves, and to hand me my ring. SO, to make a long story short...I get all my BM is the same dress, different color and my MOH gets her dress off the wedsight she HAD to have, but in the color I picked out! Plus my friend form out of state gets to be in my WP! Victory is mine! Thanks for everything guys!

At the four corners? What does that mean? I'm confused.
I'm still wondering about the roots of your Scottish-Norse religion that supposedly came from the "first settlers in Scotland" who were... Vikings.

[QUOTE]I never said they were the first group of people in Scottland, I said they were the first people to have a written history in Scottland. In more recent years we have been able to find information out about the galic/celtic people who inhabited Scottland before the Norse began to influence it, but the Pagan religion I follow still has heavy overtones of Norse mixed with the galic/celtic beliefs. That being stated, the four corners are symboilc of the four elements and four directions.

*facepalm*
You're still wrong. Way wrong. Way, way, way, way, way wrong. Gaels and Celts had language and writing.
I guess it's a good thing I decided long ago that most religions are fairy tales.

[QUOTE]I'm a little concerned that you're so gleeful at a "victory" over your husband-to-be. Do you two see everything as a battle? This is an odd post.

OWN- It's a viking victory and now we shall go to the mead hall.
Amber-I'm confused too but glad everything worked out for you.

- The first written language in Scotland is Scottish GAELIC, a language still spoken today. If the Vikings (which would include the vast area of Scandinavia, and at least 4 different languages, btw) had settled Scotland first, you'd think the language of Scotland would be some variation of Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish, right?
- The Vikings weren't exactly known for having a written history in the 1000's. That's about as comical as them actually wearing horned helmets or the everyone in Sweden talking like the Swedish chef.

If she says it's spelled with two T's, it's spelled with two T's. DON'T QUESTION HER EPIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE SCOTTS, YO.

Baystate, you figured it out! Snippy is talking about ScoTland, a country to the north of England where the Norse people were not the first of very much anything. OP is talking about ScoTTland, a totally different (fictional) place where her religion was created. Everyone is right!
