What is a good gauge for an appropriate amount of Money as a wedding gift? I made a really pretty card for a fend of mine and now all we need is money to put in it but were jot sure hoe.much is appropriate.

    ditto PP - whatever you're comfortable with.  H and I always give $100 as a base and increase for closer friends/family.  We received gifts anywhere from $20 from one of my cousins to several thousand from aunts/uncles.  Whatever you can afford will be appreciated.

    $100 per person for a friend or family member (aside from immediate family); $50 per person if it's someone you aren't really that close to.
