Diamond Confetti- your thoughts?

What do you guys think of diamond confetti on the reception tables. I am having a big wedding and want everything to be elegant and perfect. I thought maybe by sprinkling some diamond confetti on the tables would make the tables look elegant along with my center pieces.

opinions? does this look tacky?

Re: Diamond Confetti- your thoughts?

  • I personally do not like that diamonds, marbles etc for wedding decor. I think it can make the tables look cheap. But I also think it would depend on what you were doing for centerpieces and season of your wedding. I have seen a couple of pics where it looked ok but I think there are other ways to make the centerpieces/tables look more elegant and shine.....lots of votives and sprinkled roses petals around the centerpiece which can be done pretty inexpensively and has a dramatic affect.
  • What are your centerpieces?

By diamond confetti, do you mean little fake diamonds or just silvery confetti?

  • I think it could be ok if used sparingly--but I agree with the PP that there are better ways to achieve an elegant look than just sprinkling fake diamonds on tables.

I much prefer the look of hanging crystals on a taller centerpiece--so that might be something to consider.

  • "Elegant" isn't a word that springs to mind when I think of confetti. Sorry.

no, seriously, it makes me nervous around small children

I agree with pp that candles and rose petals look much better and layer better than glass confetti.  What do your centerpieces look like?  I could give you a much better idea with a pic.
  • No children will be at this wedding... and my wedding is in May.. memorial day weekend... centerpieces are simple and elegant... tall thin vase with 5 different colored gerber daisys.. on a mirror with tea light candles around the base.

And Diamond confetti is 3D and it actually looks like a diamond they come in all different sizes, i wouldnt go with the big ones i would go with something small and definetly not a lot.. theyre acrylic
  • I'd say try it...if you like it then keep it.

I know that I had some ideas in mind for my centerpieces and they look great in my mind, but once they were on the table....another story.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the different colored daisies.  I think this even without the mirror and candles with a ribbon around the vase is a very classy centerpiece idea!  Very cool!
