dyeable shoes question

i'm pretty sure this was discussed a lot but what's the deal with dyeable shoes-how does it work-is it better to get a shoe dyed or to just go to different stores with a swatch and make sure you're getting the right color?

    Ehhh... if you can find shoes already in the colour you want, I'd definitely do that over dyeing, especially if you're picky about shades. They should be able to get close to the shade you want, but can't really match exact shades so well. My shoe-dyeing experience didn't go so well, but I think if you're working with people who aren't total d-bags it's better. ;) Modern Bridal dyes shoes and they seemed very nice. I wish I'd had them do my shoes.

    well i have shoes in the color but they're not very comfortable and this may sound weird-but depending on the weather my feel expand or shrink so the shoes sometimes are loose on me-so i really need a shoe that has a strap around the ankle-boo i'll just keep looking around-i have time
