Help! Capital Region Reception Venues

Hello Everyone!

I live in East Greenbush, NY (Albany, NY) and I am looking for a reasonable place to have our reception dinner/dance.  We are guessing around 150 guests, and I am hoping for a served meal around $55/person or less, and a open bar. 
Does anyone know of good venues in the area that are reasonably priced but good quality?? I hate to spend my whole wedding budget on just the food.

    How far out are you looking?  My reception is in Greene County (near West Coxsackie).

    We were looking at the Polish Community Center which was $65 a person (can't remember if that included open bar.)  We didn't end up going for that only because we wanted to have it at the hotel.

    We went with the Edison Club near Clifton Park...very reasonably priced!

    There's Birch Hill Catering that is off Exit 10 of I-90, which is pretty close to you I think.  We are using them for catering our wedding that will be in Colonie, but they also have their own facilities too.  What's great about them is you can make up your own menu which gives you a lot of control over the price.

    Hi!  I just did a few posts on www.localchicalbany.com on a few wedding venues in the Capital Region.  The venue is always a tough choice, but there's a perfect venue for everyone!

    We found our Venue!  Thank you for all of your help.  We have decided on Wolfert's Roost Country Club.  This means the date is officially set! :)
