Is there already a good morning thread?
If so, ignore me.
If not, let's talk about how I woke up feeling like I smoked an entire pack of cigarettes (I didn't!).
But I've been sick for a while. And now my chest just feels heavy and my lungs feel weird.
I wish I had health insurance.

Re: ...Morning?
I feel exactly like you do. I have some major congestion in my chest, have a dry cough and my back hurts. Can it be Friday yet? I don't know if I should go to the doc or it is just the weather changes after getting back in town Tuesday night. Ugh.
I think I will be coming home and taking a nap after work today. I really should go to the gym, but don't think that will be happening until I feel better.
Today is my friday! And I only work until noon, but it's been one hell of a week. The rest of my life for the next 3 days will be spent being my BFF's beck and call girl for her wedding which is Saturday.
Yay.
Vacation with Alix, Andy, Mandy, and FLORENCE. AND HER MACHINE.
The Margarita Evolution
I feel like death warmed over this morning, but hopefully I'm just short on sleep. Everyone in my office seems to be sick, and I really can't afford to get knocked on my ass right now.

Sorry you're feeling crappy, Liza
I'm going to put on my happy face today and pretend I'm in a good mood at work. I just wish it was the weekend already and I'm annoyed with H who just randomly decided to take the day off work today when he got up.
I'm sorry for everyone who's feeling sick! I had a crappy cold about a month ago. H and I are going to get our flu shots this weekend because I absolutely cannot afford to get sick again. Ick. Get some Mucinex, that usually helps me when I'm all full of lung butter and stuff.
Hey opal- how did your presentation go yesterday?? I was in and out all day and missed it if you came back to tell us already.
Married!
Liza & Missy- Sorry you feel like crap. Showers always help me with the congestion part. Mucinex also helps a lot.
Fishy- I'm totes jealous of your Friday/half day.
LVB- Fingers crossed!!
Lizarelli -- I hope you feel better soon!
LVB -- GOOD LUCK! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Nah, I never did come back to share.
People really enjoyed the material I had to present. I've had some awesome results in the last year, and despite the stammering, shaking, and forgetting what the hell I was talking about, I guess I was able to get that across. There was even talk of patenting my design.
But damn, I have to get these nerves under control. It's like I hit the slideshow button on powerpoint and my brain shuts off and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. It was not good, and I have to figure out how to deal before I defend in the spring.
Miss Mrs.
Missy- I don't know if you're a coffee drinker but sometimes that helps me clear out my lungs too, especially first thing in the morning.

[QUOTE]opal- I'm glad it went relatively well! I hate giving presentations, too. I actually had joined Toastmasters for a while and that helped a little bit. Missy- I don't know if you're a coffee drinker but sometimes that helps me clear out my lungs too, especially first thing in the morning.

I used to be a coffee addict, but backed off a lot before the wedding. I still do drink it occassionally and actually felt like today was a coffee day so I definitely made myself some. Thanks for all the tips!
And I still keep thinking about your husband being able to call off, what a lucky guy. Unfortunately when you work with kids, you always have to be on your A game and I just am not feeling it today. But thankfull I have a great co-teacher who will help pick up the slack for me feeling crappy.
Liza - it might be that your lungs are working the yucky stuff out of them. I remember coughing a TON around this time. It will happen again when you start working out. Feel better!

Opal, patenting your design? How awesome is that?!? LVB, fingers crossed for the new job. Liza and Missy, hope the creeping crud leaves you quickly.
I'm not sure what I can do about taking a public speaking class for credit since I'm a semester out from graduation, but I did some checking and apparently we have Writing and Communication Center that I never knew about. I think I'm going to get in touch with those guys and see whether they have any classes or suggestions for where else to get help.
Thanks everyone for the advice!
Miss Mrs.
Got a nasty cut on my finger last night and discovered liquid bandage. Awesome. The ILs are coming to stay with us tonight and tomorrow so I'm off work today cleaning.
Liza- My roomie had some lung and cough issues when he quit smoking. He was feeling like he'd just been out in a smokey bar and had a pack himself, when we hadn't smoked in like two weeks.
Keep strong, it will pass.
My cousin and his wife welcomed their daughter yesterday at 4:15. YEY for new babies!
I get my IUD today, to avoid what is listed above...YEY! Sorry for anyone who is dealing with TMI from updates on how I keep my baby making equipment out of commision.
I got my costume last night, the picture is horrible, and it is 100% stole from another Knottie. I hope she will take it as a compliment and forgive me.
I have to get a red bandana with white polka dots, though.
