Open field ceremony/reception Site?

I'm not keen on a barn wedding, I'm just looking for a field with enough space for a big reception tent and a big tree to have the ceremony under. I don't know anyone with land enough for this who also has washrooms available (no way am I using a pot-a-potty in my dress). There will be a lot of people coming in from the east coast and a few from Vancouver canada (where im planning from, uhg) so I don't want to make the venue too far outside 465 so they all don't get lost. Any suggestions?

Re: Open field ceremony/reception Site?

  • I went to a wedding this Fall at Connor Prairie.  The ceremony was held on a hill overlooking a pretty view of fields and they had a tent up for the ceremony.  Bathrooms were nearby.  Sounds like what you're looking for!!
The location is kind of out of the way, but still easy to find.
