Sunday wedding guest list

We are having a Sunday wedding and trying to stick to a budget. How many did you invite and what was the decline rate? I have about 160-175 on the guest list.

    Oooh, 'decline rate' can vary. Some say 10%, some say 20%, etc. If you are trying to play with numbers to fit your group into a certain size venue, it's a lot more stressful than just choosing a venue that will accommodate everyone, if they all choose to show up. It depends on how many are local vs. OOT or what's going on in their lives. Can depend on the date (coinciding with vacation or holiday?), etc.

    Our venue held 300. We invited around 230 and 175 or so actually came. We had a spring wedding. Approx 1/2 of the guests on the list were from OOT (over 2 hours drive). We were actually surprised by how many of the OOTers chose to come.

    Your invite acceptance rate may be less because it is a Sunday, but I think it totally depends on who you are inviting. If you have more OOT guests you might have lower attendance in general.

    If your guests are like the people I am inviting everyone will want to come, haha

    I would evaluate your invite list and think about who you think will come regardless of it being on a Sunday etc...
