Minnesota-Minneapolis and St. Paul

What did you do for Aisle Decorations?

I got some small paper lanterns that I was going to use for the family, VIP reserved section for the first 8 rows at front of the church. (Purple Lantern hung by a dark Pink ribbon and bow) But I have no idea what to do for the other 24 pews.  (12 on each side)

How are you/ did you decorate your aisle for the ceremony? I'd love to see your pictures or your inspiration pics! I have no ideas except pew bows.

TIA!

Ooh, I'm trying to figure this out, too. Our ceremony is right at the hotel where the reception is at, and the chairs are kind of a weird shape, so I can't tie something on to the corner of the chairs (by where a shoulder would be) like I wanted. I got a plainish aisle runner, but I have no clue what else to do...

I'm making my sister dry a bunch of hydrangeas from her yard this week. I'll make some simple paper cones and tie those to the chairs. I have run out of decoration money and this is a cheap easy fix.

I made silk carnation wreaths (inspired by Martha Stewart) and attached ivory ribbon and antique brooches to each wreath. PIB under ceremony.

(If anyone likes them, I'm selling them after we return from our honeymoon in early November.)

As of right now, I'm not planning to do any! We will have some floral arrangements at the top of the staircase where the ceremony will be, but I'm not spending the money on the ceremony since it doesn't last long and it will be outdoors.

I am going to put flowers on the end of every other pew. Something like this. I really want to use hydrangeas :)

This is my inspiration picture. I used red paper, gold and red ribbin. We will be using baby's breath because it's cheap and light! I thought they looked pretty without a lot of cost.

I don't like bows and I didn't want to pay for more flowers, so I ended up not doing anything and I thought it was totally fine.  We had a short aisle though and we were already having an aisle runner and alter arrangements so I barely noticed.

We had none, just two candles at our 'altar'

Would it look odd if I still marked the "family" pews and did nothing for the rest?
We will have an aisle runner but thats it besides the unity candle. I wish I had a picture of the inside of the church - so everyone could see- i might have to take one this wknd!

I didn't do any aisle decorations.

I wasn't going to do anything, but then saw my church decorate for a wedding with candelabras on the pew. So I am doing those (on like every 3rd) with white organza bows (not a fan but it looks nice). I got the bows at Joanns with a 40% off coupon for dirt cheap! Then just the unity candle on the altar.

We're just doing candles down the aisle that the church provides. I'm kind of in love with beka's wreaths though...
