how many programs at ceremony?

FIRST let me start by saying i'm having a private reception which is for close family and friends but everyone else we know is welcome at the ceremony (co-workers, distant relatives, old classmates, etc).  We are putting a notice in our local paper about our wedding so people can show up at the church (small town, totally common).

i'm not sure how many programs i should have ready at the church.  There are 75 people invited to the reception so should i make 100 programs?

    I've ordered 75 programs. We've invited 137 people and it works out that every couple would get one to share and every single would get thier own and it leaves a few left over.

    I think 100 is great! I would make sure the ushers know its one per adult, or one per family... whatever you prefer!

    I don't know what our final guest count will be, but I'm guessing around 175ish.  I'm making 150 programs.  I'm telling our ushers to give out 1 per couple if the programs look like they will run out.

    I'm a little confused. So aren't inviting everyone from the ceremony to the reception? (Side note, that's not very nice). Are you handing out reception programs only?

    Ditto this.  I asked the Invites board this awhile ago.  Basically it's going to work out to maybe 10 more than my invite number.

    right, only some people will be at the ceremony and reception.  We are handing out programs at the ceremony that has the order and "whos who".

    oh yeah! if you are expecting 75, then i think 100 would be perfect.
