Plans for the Week

Hello ladies!

It's been rather quiet around here, so let's see if we can change that with our usual posts. I think Monday used to be plans for the week so feel free to post what you have on your To Do list this week. Invites? Guest List? Attire? Cakes?

Anything non wedding related? Working out? Dinners with friends? Vacations?

Nothing exciting for me - just the same old grind. Gym. Work. Home. Repeat. Oh wait, I get to go to the dentist this week. Yeah, you're jealous, I know it ;)

    Mandap Chairs (no mandap needed, just the chairs)
    Dancers (anyone willing to dance to Bollywood music)

    this week all i have to do is thank you cards for my bridal shower this past weekend.  other than that, not a thing :)

    I'm getting my invitations out tomorrow!!  I'm also having my MOH and her husband over to grill out on the new grill that the bridesmaids/SOs gave us!  And practicing our surprise first dance - a tango!  Then off for the weekend at my uncle's for a family getaway!

    I'm on a mission to buy my ceremony and reception outfits this week! I went to Edison and Jackson Heights one last time over the weekend to see if there were any other dresses out there that I liked. I found a white and maroon lengha that I loved for the ceremony in Queens so I think I'm going to buy that this week. I really liked 3 other lenghas for the reception dress so now I need to decide on which one!

    I have over a year to plan. btw, we picked December 15th, 2012 for our date and it's going to be back in my hometown - Southern Cali! :) As of now, im just focusing on school since its coming up in a few weeks. Oh, and the fact that im turning 24 in a couple of weeks, doesn't make me happy.

    Week 2 of the new job... and I'm exhausted!  Not sure the job is really a match for me, the commute is a killer, and I got a stomach bug last week.  DH is OOT (again), there's still a lot of stuff to unpack, my ILs decided on a sudden visit in 3 weeks, and SIL has struck again with a weird email demanding money.  My dad doesn't understand why I can't come over every day to clean and make him dinner, and probably also doesn't understand why I would be annoyed that he asked.

    *sigh*

    Raangoli -- I will trade you for your dental appointment ;)

    @Priya - So fun that you had your bridal shower. I know when I had mine it made everything seem all the more real. Congrats!

    @jsleik - Getting the invites out is a huge item to cross of the list!

    @Priya490 - Do you have pictures of the outfits? I would love to see! Maybe we can help you decide :)

    @Steph - congrats on picking a date! the year is going to fly by, I am sure!

    @Tem - yikes sounds like things are out of control/crazy with you. Sorry to hear that the job doesn't seem like a good fit. Maybe give it a little more time to see if it grows on you? Really, really sorry that the inlaws are going to come in 3 weeks. I thought you had possibly avoided that catastrophe, but I guess not! Make sure you don't unpack any of your good dishes ;)

    Tem - Seriously??  Well, we can commiserate!  Mine arrive on the 18th!  How long are yours staying for?  We'll have to email to keep each other sane!  Good luck with the SIL and your dad!!

    Raangoli -- yeah, I am hoping the job will pick up.  Maybe once I know more about what's going on and am more involved it will get better...

    And I, too, thought the IL storm had blown over, but no such luck.  MIL is completely bored in NYC.  And the Arizona trip is off... that was actually kind of funny... my ILs couldn't settle on a date to go and my friend's parents are going to Italy for 2 months.  My ILs didn't really get that the Italy trip won't work around them LOL!

    JSleik -- totally email me!  I think mine are here for only 2 weeks this time (yay, could be so much worse).  But don't hesitate... I will try my best to give you sound advice.  Or at least moral support ;)

    I'm chiming in semi-mid week LOL -
    I haven't been up here in a long time, and thought I'd come up and say hi! So Hello everyone! I hope that everyone is happy as they can be, and in good health!

    For the week, had my review, passed with flying colors, gonna go flight testing on experimental aircraft at the end of the month, super stoked for that, and got into a relationship that has me smiling from ear to ear...

    The best things in life just happen out of the blue, my bf is super nice, respectable.. we have way too much things in common, and laugh at every opportunity we get :-)  What is better than that?

    Remaining plans for the week, I ran 22 miles a couple of weeks ago, last week was an amazing 17, and this week I'm hoping to get up near 20 miles (currently up to 9 miles so far) -- all on the elliptical or on the golf course behind my house :-) 

    Since January I've lost 35 lb, and loads of inches :-)  I've regained my smile, and confidence, and just so very happy-go-lucky!!
