    It depends on the location. Months is best as you never know how booked the place already is around that time. The further out is always the best option.

    the sooner the better depending on when your date is and how quickly the baker gets booked.

    Depends how in-demand the baker is. We booked ours ab out 7 months in advance by putting down a deposit, but didn't meet with her to discuss the cake until the 4 month mark and she only now needs numbers from us (2.5 weeks out).

    Booking the cake was one of the first things I did because it was important to me. Like the other ladies said, if the baker is in demand, they will most likely book months in advance. I say the earlier the better!

    I'd say if you know who you want to do your cake just go ahead and call them and let them know when your wedding is and that you'd like for them to do your cake. They will let you know all the details! Good luck :)

    I agree with people. The sooner the better. I booked my cake baker at 10 months out. HTH!
