I'm sure I'm not the only May 19 bride who is spending this weekend getting stuff done! At my mom's for the weekend so we are busy busy busy.
Last night- final dress fitting. Oh wow.....I thought it was gorgeous before it fit. I cannot wait to wear that gown and for FI to finally see it.
We also went through the music (I'm my own DJ so I have a few playlists set up and my cousin will be turning them off and on during the wedding but I wanted someone else to hear it and approve everything).
Today- ceremony venue visit to make sure we know the layout and exactly where everyone will be (since my tree fell down).
plant nursery to get the little ivy and viney plants for all the centerpieces.
craft store for moss for the escort card display, trim for cupcake stand, and any other little stuff we still need
shopping!- my mom still doesn't have a MOB dress! and I need honeymoon clothes (shorts, casual tops, etc)
decorating our cupcake stand
cutting apart all the printed stuff (flickr account cards, etc)
making the escort cards
If we get all that done today, I will be completely at peace with everything because as long as those get done, I don't care about anything else.
I love hanging out with my mom, anyways. She's a professional wedding decorator and she cracks me up. She is doing all of the decorating and holy crap...she's turning my reception venue into an enchanted forest for me (think the late 90s movie version of Midsummer's Night Dream, all the fairy stuff in the forest). She also got a huge discount on our rentals because she works for the event production company we're renting linens/glassware/decorations from. She told me last night, "You do realize that if I wasn't your mom, on your budget, you'd never be able to afford me."

She also cried when she listened to the processional song, admitted she might need nerve pills for the wedding, and went nuts gushing over the tie I got for my dad.
I'm getting my dream wedding, thanks to my mom.
hope everyone else has either a wonderful wedding day or a very productive pre-wedding weekend!
