Ready to go dress shopping!!!! But....

I have an appointment coming up at White Dress by the Shore. It will be my second time there (first time was last summer so I wasn't really in the mindset). Anyway, I'm going back there mainly because the customer service was really great (especially compared to my experience at another shop). I WANT to buy a dress there but nothing caught my eye the first time. I was just on their website looking around and still....nothing stands out. I'm wondering if their style just isn't for me.  I love Maggie dresses and there's nothing really close there.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

When I went shoopping i had no idea what I wanted. I didn't even know most of the designers. (I'd never heard of Maggie until I bought one!). If you like the customer service so much go with your gut there, tell them what you like and let them find it for you. If you don't find your perfect dress in one day don't get discouraged.

Finding the right dress is just like finding the right guy, it may take a while but it'll be worht it :) And remember to enjoy it! Even if you don't think you'll like it, try it on, a lot of dresses look quite different on you then on the hanger! :)

I totally agree with PP.  Also, I had some set ideas in my head about what I wanted and didn't want in my dress.  Once I tried those on, I realized that what I thought would look good wasn't necessarily flattering.  I ended up with the perfect dress and it had quite a few qualities that I had adamently sworn I would never have in my dress.  You should really go with an open mind and try on different styles.  You may be surprised by what you end up loving.  If they will let you take pictures, do that too.  It's easy to forget what the dresses looked like that you tried on AND it's nice to be able to see yourself in pictures and how the dress will look along with what others are seeing.

I would go and look around but don't feel like you have to get your dress there just because the women were all nice.
I got my dress at a store that I HATED but they had alot of what I wanted so I got it there.
The store your going to I think has alot of trumpet or mermaid style dresses.
There are tons of shops around so if you don't find it there, you will somewhere else

    Good luck and happy shopping!!

PS-it isn't rare if you don't get that wow feeling :)

If they carry Maggie dresses, they can order any style that they have then.  Go around to different stores to try styles, and if you have your heart set on getting your dress there, give them the style to order.

GL & don't forget to show us pics!!

I know what you mean. I've been to White Dress by the Shore and felt the dresses they carried were not for me.

Update: Just got back and had a really great experience. Alicia helped me and she was awesome.  I didn't walk away with THE ONE but definitely a few that I might go back to.  All 5 feet of me even managed to wear a ball gown which I didn't think would be possible. She also did a great job with helping me stick to a budget.
Anyway, it was a great experience and I don't feel as limited in my options as I thought I was.
    Thanks everyone!
