First DIY.... SUCKS

Ok so I tried to make cute little bulletin boards covered with fabric for my escort card display.  The fabric covering the board is supper cute, easiest part,  it turned out wonderfully! I can't figure out the rest though!  I want to put the cards on the boards alphabetically, so i was going to use letters like a large A for all the a last names. then a b etc (not sure if any of this makes sense) anyway 3 hours and 63 dollars later the letters are UGLY it looks like a retarded jungle monkey made the board!!!!! I can't even put a PIP t is embarssing!   Back to the drawing board...my crafty MOH will be back in town tomorrow, I hoping she can help... unless you girls can help me first!

    :( i'm not sure that i'm going to be any help, but tomorrow i'm gonna attempt making bouquets out of fabric. i have a feeling your retarded jungle monkey will be making a stop by my house.

    LOL you two!

    Without a pic of the bulletin board, it's  hard to determine what can help. I'd recommend just waiting for your friend.

    Its the lettering part that is off! I covered a foam board with fabric.  that part is good! The letters and how to display them is so ugly!

    FYI I will try to leash up the retarded jungle monkey!

    What if you just nixed the letter part all together, and just put the cards out alphabetically without the letter to designate which letter is where?  I think people would figure it out pretty quickly as they read through the names:

    Anderson
    Austin
    Baker
    Carter

    etc.

    Ditto abbeylynne. Nix the letters. If you look at the bulletin board pics on TK they are simple and clean. I would go that route.

    I agree to nix letters. Unless its an absolutely ginormous board it will be too much with the letters.

    we are doing a similiar board.. but not doing pin board, i'm doing the folded business cards. perhaps you could decorate your board in a similiar way...

    Love it! You ladies are the best!!! I will just add the silver ribbon and do that!!!! Thanks a million!!!!!  How are you hanging them on the walls or standing them on the table after that????
