  Not really sure of your budget but when I think of non-traditional I think of the Visionary Art Museum, the Science Center, Ravens Stadium, baseball museum, etc.

  Here are a few low cost venues in the baltimore area:

  
  

  Diamondz Event Center in Randallstown. seats up to 300. rates are about $1800. definitely a hidden gem,

  
  

  Gala center - Windsor Mill - will seat 150. they have a ceremony room but its too small for 150 people. around $1500-$2000 depending on hour package

  
  

  Prince Hall lodge - eutaw pl. baltimore md. has a ceremony and reception hall. definitely enough room for 150 again, around $1800

  
  

  all also allow outside caterers. which i have found to save on cost

  I work as an event coordinator in the area, love to offer any advice or vendor recs. feel free to pm me

  I was going to suggest the Gala Center also. I may be using this site.
  The Ivy Community Hall on Dolfield and ColdSpring area is nice.  My dad got married there.

  Thanks for all of your input ladies . We are currently leaning towards having our reception at a bar/restaurant. I will certainly post with more details once we are a little further along

  I looked at the Visionary Art Museum as a venue for the ceremony and reception. The rental fee is $7000, you can pick a caterer from the approved sheet and you are also allowed to bring in your own alcohol, which could be a big money saver.

  Did you find a bar or restaurant that can fit 150? I'd love to hear more -- we're also looking for non-traditional for 150ish but didn't really know where to start re: bars and restaurants.
