So, DJ Melee doesn't have our wedding date available, any other recommendations?  My FSIL recommended Rich Gumpert from Powerstation in Cheshire, has anyone used him?

    We are using DJ After Hours (Sal/Sabrina) - I have loved working with them so far, Sal is so nice to meet with and you don't feel pressure to sign a contract right there and then. I would at least suggest meeting with him while you are shopping around. If you do sign with them, you can go online to your own site and add songs you want to hear during the reception - as well as have everything in writing for the important dances. They are also taking care of all our mic issues since we are getting married at the same location as the reception.

    IMO, Powerstation is overpriced.  I'm using Dave @ Entertainment Unlimited of New England and he has been so pleasant and accomodating.  I've also worked with Bob quite a bit, as he is the owner.

    This.  I also had a not great experience with them when we were looking and I refuse to recommend them.  One of the guys burned his bridges with me.

    I had a FANTASTIC DJ for my wedding and he was priced WELL-BELOW any other DJs I found.  He was personable, great to work with, had great ideas and suggestions, got our crowd out on the floor, and was willing to do whatever necessary to make our day without jacking up his price.

    We are using Music In Motion we have been to several weddings that used them and loved them. I would also recommend Action DJ too, I completely forgot about him when we were booking but he is fabulous as well. We looked into Powerstation and they were ridiculously overpriced compared to the other quotes we got.

    thanks for all the advice.  We are hopefully meeting with Zach Dauphinais on monday.  His prices seem reasonable and he's gotten good reviews.  FI and I are not dancers but realize the importance of the DJ for our guests and the overall atmosphere of the wedding.  We don't want to spend a fortune though!
