Ceremony Musicians - Triangle Area

Hi Ladies!

Fi and I are starting to look into ceremony musicians and we wanted to see if you all have any recs?  We're interested in classical wedding music - possibly a duo or trio.

We have also tossed around the idea of having a guitar and violin and playing "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles for our processional.  I'm unsure if there is anyone in this area who could do this.

Thanks in advance!
Jessica

    Jessica,

I'm having Jane Peppler play at my wedding. We are going to have a guitar and a violin. She has been great with honoring my music requests (there was a slight bump in the road but all has been resolved). Our recessional is going to be Good Day Sunshine. We are also having classical music and standards for our prelude and  processional.

I can send you the information if you like. Here is her website http://janepeppler.com/

Oh, I'm getting married in Chapel Hill.

We're using Elegant Ensembles out of the Winston area for our reception musicians.  I know they do Beatles music, "Here Comes the Sun" is on the list on their website  :) and they'll travel.

I found a website that was helpful in locating musicians. Try www.gigmasters.com to see if you can find anything you like. They will find musicians in your area based on genre and you can actually listen to some of their music.

We used Arioso Strings, www.ariosostrings.com.  They're from Cary, but they have all sorts of combinations of musicians available, quartets, solos, duos, guitars, violins, etc.  They were really great!

I used NC Strings (Raleigh area) and loved them.  I think they're very similar to Arioso Strings.

I hired Ed Stephenson & one of his bandmates to play acoustic guitar, & was extremely happy with the job they did. He's a music teacher at Meredith College. He has a pretty sizeable repitoire, but he also learned two new pieces for us, upon request.
