alterations

I'm getting married in October and was wondering how long before the wedding should I be getting the alterations done, the lady at davids bridal said I should make the appointment at the end of july, should I get it done before that??

    That sounds right to me. I got married in August and started my alterations at the end of May. If you do it too early, you run the risk of your body changing before the wedding and having to re-alter it.

    I think July is fine as long as you don't plan on losing a ton of weight or something else drastic like that. After they alter it, you will likely go in and try it on again to make sure everything else is okay. Sometimes there are extra tips and tucks that need to be taken. When you go in for your fitting, make sure you wear the undergarments you plan on wearing on your wedding day so you can get an accurate fitting.
