Well between FI and I talking about the vacation in December, we have thrown in and out some places and I think these are the couple I am going to research over the weekend and see how much it will cost.

Barbados
Dominican Republic (FI is heading there right now, so I think we will take this off the list since he already has been there).
Jamaica
Saint Lucia
Antigua
Puerto Rico

    I love, love, love the DR.  I highly recommend going there. :)

    FI told me today that he is building me a house in his ancestral village in Bangladesh!
    I absolutely love it there. I was floored when he told me. Our plan is to live here in the US for a few years before moving to BD, but I feel more and more like moving there sooner.

    Wow a house...That's so sweet and now you can help him design and build it from the ground up.  We want to do that as well later on in life too.  But that sounds great!! Good way to start off the weekend.

    Yeah.  I'm really excited about it. We will probably live most of the time in Dhaka, but spend the weekends in the village since it isn't too far away.  He knows my likes and wants so well, so I'm staying out of all of the planning.  It will just be a wonderful surprise.  He's the best.

    I would suggest DR or PR...get a couples only resort....;)

    The other places may be super expensive ...as I've found out from HM planning

    Sounds like a lot of good choices Hina!! Our honeymoon is in Antigua first week of August, I will update you on how it is there!

    I loved Jamaica. But, you have to be careful where you go. I'd suggest it to anybody. Just be safe wherever you choose to visit.

    Hmm...an update! Let's see...boyfriend would like to get engaged but I feel I need more time as I do not want to gear up for leaving my family. I'm quite attached to being at home. I also need a bit more time to adjust to the fact that I have to be a daughter in law that LIVES with her in laws and SIL. So, it's a lot to take in. At the same time, we are planning on going somewhere near him for a big vacation and I really would like him to ask there. But, I can't have everything! I'm a little ridiculous.

    Barbados is BEAUTIFUL (I'm biased though because that's where my family is from). ANy of those choices sound amazing though.

    We did a cruise to the Caribbean and touched a lot of islands.  I've been to most of them either on family vacations directly to the island or alone. 

    If you want details of what's good and what's not - depending on your tastes, let me know :)
