How did this work for you? I went to a wedding that did this once and it worked fine. However, I am having real anxiety about this... I am so worried out music won't be good, it aill be lame and no one will dance.

Can you offer any advice? How did you set it up? What were youe resources for deciding on the songs you played during dinner and then dancing? Anything will help- we really don't have room in our budget for a $1000 + DJ service.

Our venue has a hookup for an IPOD to be broadcast through the venue's speakers. You might check to see if your venue does the same.

If not, you could always ask a friend to man the IPOD to make sure that they can switch up the songs at will...

Or you can bring a laptop and download a mixer, so that you can set up the next song to fade in when the last one goes out.

Our venue recommended a place for us to rent the audio equipment and it is under $100 to do that. So, we are okay on the equipment. I am more concerned about the "flow" and music selection.

What did you mean by "download a mixer"? I have been wondering about how to fade the music!

Dj's use this to mix normal music is without having to use a turn table.

There are many free versions, but this one cost about 129 if you want the full version.
