Sent Save the Dates without mentioning plus 1's

I have already sent out most of the STDs for my May 2013 wedding (on the early side because I had a few people tell me their employers require them to plan vacation time this far in advance).

Since they are not the formal invitations, I didn't think much of it and just addressed the them to couples when appropriate, and single friends alone.

However, when I send out the invitations, I plan on giving all the single guests a plus one, as the wedding is OOT and I think most people would not enjoy traveling alone.

So to allow people to make travel plans, should I tell them now that a +1 is OK?

You don't have to send STDs to plus ones - but you can casually mention to your friends who need to travel long distances that they will get a plus one.

Most people are in Ohio and will be flying or driving to New Orleans. So somewhere in between Columbus and Jamaica.

I wouldn't worry about it. If they ask, or during casual conversation over the next 6 months, you can mention that they are welcome to bring a guest, then include their guest on the invite.
