DJ/RENTING DJ EQUIPMENT

Would anyone recommend a DJ in the Des Moines metro area?

We are looking for one for our fall wedding in 2011.  OTHERWISE, we have a friend who works for a DJ company who offered to DJ for us, pending we can rent DJ equipment (lights/speakers).

Anyone know of a place that does this?  I have no clue!

Thanks :-)

Our DJ is Ultimate Entertainment for our July 2011 wedding and they seem awesome! It's $595 for 5 hours and you can choose songs you want played online and there's an online organizer. We went to a friends wedding that they DJ'd at and they were really good at getting the crowd involved.

I have heard of them--I will definitely check them out.  Thanks so much!

I can't believe how expensive DJs are....I'm rethinking my career choice right about now...haha :-P

Just a thought all djs aren't that expensive.  I am a dj actually i would do a 5 hour show for 350 - 400.  Depending on location.  The reason i got into djing is because of that reason all those people trying to charge an arm and leg.  We have done AMAZING weddings and have references if you would like to talk to them.  Honestly i don't beleive anyone could do a better job then what we do.  I have been to many weddings over the years ones we have dj'ed and others that we haven't.  Just seems like none of the other djs i have seen try to get crowd involved or are just stiff.  We have professional announcing also.  We have had great feedback like...."you made our night the best it could be"  "your voice is perfect for announcing, i couldn't ask for a better dj!"  Also 95% of our business is by referral. So you know if people are referring us to there friends we are good.  N e way give me a call for a quote and to set up a time to sign a contract!  Tell me i replyed to your posting on the knot and i will give you an extra half hour for free!

I agree that many DJ's are way overpriced. Check out www.luquiddigitalentertainment.com
