Ceremony/reception venues...??

Hi everyone,

I'm new here...and I posted in the general planning bit, and was advised to post here...!!

I am looking for some suggestions (from natives..!!!) of unusual venues in NC, for about 50-60 guests...we've not ruled anywhere out yet, but we're not really looking for a "ballroom" idea-outdoors would be lovely...any help would be really gratefully received!!

    There are a lot of parks in Greensboro that you can get married at. Center City Park does weddings and Bicentennial Gardens has a very pretty gazebo that they do weddings at.

    I should add that they have out door "patio" ares at the castle too that you can rent if you want out doors, I have only lived in NC 1 1/2 yrs now, so I don't know a lot about the area, I just fell in love w/ Castle McChulloch & knew that is where I wanted to get married, we are doing ours inside because it will be July & HOT!

    Gregory Vineyards in Angier.  They have a beautiful outdoors with waterfront area around the ponds and beautiful vines.  LOVE THE SCENE. 

    And they are super affordable.  $500 for the ceremony and $250 for a ballroom.  Tables and chairs included.  Check them out.

    Castle McCulloch is beautiful!

    We're using 1812 Hitching Post Farm in Harmony, NC.  So pretty :)

    Not sure where in NC u are looking but in the Charlotte area is The Dairy Barn, that's where I'm getting married. Beautiful for pictures!

    Ooooh, will have a wee look there...thanks...

    I'm not specifically looking anywhere in NC...my family are all sort of RDU area, but I am looking at the coast AND mountains too...
