Hair and makeup

Can anyone recommend a good hair stylist and make-up artisit?  I'm around the Overland Park area so anyone around there. I'd prefer to go to a salon as opposed to coming to my house.  Thanks!

    I'm using my hair stylist Whitney Hauser at Delux Hair in Leawood - 129th & Stateline - (913) 345-2535. I've been seeing Whit for five years now. She is not only amazingly talented, she is a good friend. Please tell her I sent you.

    For makeup, I have to recommend Ashley Maurin. She owns her own cosmetic line - LOVER http://lover-cosmetics.com/shop/index.php She trained as a makeup artist at the best makeup school in the world- in Paris! And she's very reasonable too. Her makeup was the official makeup for Miss Teen USA in 2009. She will do a beautiful face for you on your big day. Please also tell her I sent you. She is doing mine, of course!

    I need recommendations for this, too! I haven't lived in KC for a few years, so I don't have a regular hairstylist there anymore, and my mom doesn't really either right now. I need somewhere in the Overland Park/ Prairie Village area.

    I've had really good luck with the Dillards salon at Oak Park Mall.  Lewis has cut my hair (and my mom's and sister's) for years, and he's great.  We had updos done there for my sister's wedding (can't remember the name of the ladies who did those for us) and they turned out really well too.

    I'm clueless on the makeup artist.  That's something I was looking for too.

    I have had an updo done at Par Exsalonce in OP, not sure how they compare price wise but they did a great job.

    I'm clueless about a makeup artist, I would love any recommendations for the Olathe area?

    Stephanie, thanks for the tip! I called Whitney today and am going in next week. She seems really sweet. :) I told her you sent me and she knew exactly who I was talking about, lol! I'll let you all know how it goes!

    for all you ladies looking for a makeup artist.......I highly recommend Deanna Valizan.  She is FANTASTIC!!!  I think it is $60 for bridal makeup, but I would have to look to be sure, but she is really worth it.  She also has package deals if you are wanting to have multiple people get their makeup done. 

    She did my makeup for my engagement pictures in September, and she is doing the makeup for all my bridesmaids, my mom, and I on my wedding day.  I also get an in studio trial session so we'll know exactly what my makeup will look like on my wedding day.  I went with a package deal, but you should definetely check her out!

    I used CaraSue Hall, she will go to you in the northland or down south and she is awesome.  Her website is chmakeupartistry.com

    lol, momo its so funny because I just replied to the flowers post saying I used Michelle from Bella Design Studio just like you... and now come to find out I'm using the same makeup artist as well (CaraSue)! lol! KC really is a small town in big city clothing ;)
