Hall of Springs Fever

I looked at the hall of springs this weekend and feel in love. particularly to the high ceiling, the chandelier, the columns and the lack of carpet in the ballroom. Only problem is the price. After tax and fees, since the minimum for a saturday night wedding is 20k, the cost of food and drinks comes to 28k. Way out of my 30k budget.

Any suggestions on what is cheaper than the Hall of Springs but has the same grand-over the top feel? someone told me canfield casino but they didnt know the price. Thanksss!!

I'm in love with the Hall of Springs too, and I'm not even engaged...yet haha!
Have you thought about a Friday or Sunday wedding...the minimuns are much lower for those days.  When the boyfriend finally does pop the question, I'll be planning a Friday evening wedding b/c I think the Fri min is 12K.  Also, I think if you have a Saturday afternoon wedding the minimum is lower too.  They have those dream dates too, where it's "upscale on sale" ...the info on that is on their website.

How many guests are you planning on inviting?  I have a couple of ideas, but they're for smaller numbers...

Thanks for the info ladies! Friday or Sunday wedding is not an option, I love the idea due to a cheaper price my fiance, his family and my family do not like it. In addition, our guest list is roughly 185. (my fiance has 25 first line aunts and uncles! ) How about going for a different type of look. What else in the area is worth looking at but has a price per plate of say $60-75?
