School Bus Transportation?

Our wedding isn't until Dec 2012, so still have tons of time to plan, but I am starting to think of ideas for wedding party transportation.  I am currently in school to get my BA degree in Special Education, so my fiance and I thought it would be a cute idea to have a classic yellow school bus as our means of transportation.

Thoughts?  Opinions?  Does any one even know how or where I could rent a school bus for a wedding?

We were trying to be creative, think out of the box, and add a personal touch (me going into the field of education) to the wedding, but I just don't know if this is appropriate, or where I would begin to look for a school bus rental.

Any suggestions would be of much help!  Thanks!

Hi!! I just got married April 30 and I'm an Intervention Specialist and my (now husband) and I did the school bus thing!! Everyone thought it was awesome! My husband works at a private school so they let him charter the bus. We paid according to mileage and it was really cheap!! The only thing was the music... make sure you bring something because the radio was fuzzy and we didn't think to bring a cd or ipod or anything for when we were driving around taking pics.

Good Luck! Enjoy it... it goes so fast!

I never thought of that! What a cute idea! I'm also getting my Bachelor's in Education right now, so that would be adorable for a wedding :)

My brother got married a year ago to a teacher, and they used a school bus for transportation... it was great!  They had 5 attendants each, plus 4 kids in the wedding, so we were all on the bus plus the 2 photographers.  We had a few stops to make between the ceremony and the reception for pictures so it was very handy.  Plus we got to do everything they said we weren't alowed to do as kids!  A couple guys were smoking, we were all standing up and dancing and eating... it was a really good time.  Plus it made for some cute pictures with everyone hanging out the windows, and during the drive, the photographer was getting fun pictures of everyone doing funny things on the bus.  I know they rented it from a local company, but I'll have to ask them where exactly and get back to you.
