Hi,

Where can I go to try on wedding dresses that are a size 16? It is really important to me that I try on my dress before I buy it.

    Some of the girls here have had great experiences at Botticelli in RI. It's a bit of a hike, but totally worth it.

    Platinum Bridal in Southboro carries a big selection of plus size samples to try on.

    Alfred Angelo in Danvers on rt 114.  They are great and have many dresses to try in all sizes.

    I got my + size dress at the Running of the Brides.  I went at 6pm and by 8pm I had my dress.  If you go in the afternoon/evening everything is back up on the racks.  Take a couple friends, wear Spanx or something similar, and you may just get lucky.

    Also, the folks at Alfred Angelo in Danvers are GREAT.  I got my BM dresses there and had girls size 12-28W.  They did a great job.

    I went to Boticellis and Wishing Well which are not to far from each other. They are both in Rhode Island if you don't mind a bit of a drive. I ended up getting mine at Wishing Well and they had a huge selection and were great working with. GL

    I'm a few days behind---but I had an outstanding experience with Jan at Botticelli in North Providence. It only took me about 25 minutes from Walpole/route 95.  Jan has a Facebook page so you can see some of her dresses and photos of real brides in them, too!  She was amazing.  I felt really at easy with her.  I haven't found 'my' dress yet, but I do know I'll be buying it from her.  I can't say enough.....I was so horribly nervous about going and she made it a great experience.  Good luck!  :)
