PSA about Marriage License (Nashua area)

We found out that if you go to the Nashua City Hall to apply for your marriage license, it costs $60 and they need a certified copy of your birth certificate.

However, if you drive across the bridge to Hudson, you can obtain your marriage license there WITHOUT a certified copy of your birth certificate and it only costs $45.

I was under the impression that a birth certificate was not required, certified or otherwise? Am I wrong? I only ask as we took the morning off (with a short short window of time available) to go do this next week, and I would be so annoyed if the town hall gave me the wrong info. Help =(

ScottCayla...Nashua City hall said that they had to have a certified copy of the bc, but they told us that Hudson didn't require it...and they're cheaper!

for out of staters like myself, you have to go to the town that you are getting married in. Rindge, for us, was $50 and then $10 for a copy, so we ended up with a $60 tab, and we did need both our birth certificates. Ahh well its all over now, yay!
