Anyone used the Windmill Winery in Florence?

I live in the San Tan Valley area and I seem to be having a hard time finding a venue that fits my budget. I was really interested in Encantera country club until I found the Windmill Winery online. It's slightly cheaper and the only downfall they seem to have are the limited bar options. My budget is 10,000 but I want to book a venue for slightly less so I can afford pictures and a videographer. If anyone has used this venue was it worth it? Did you enjoy your day? Were you running around or did they make your day a smooth sailing perfect one? I'd just like a basic run down of how they were :)

  • We thought about using them and did a fair amount of research. The only reason we aren't using them is location-95% of our guest list is out of state and there aren't enough hotels close.
The reviews are mostly positive and we liked all the interactions with the people we had there. Encanterra is nice too-but a couple of points-Encanterra charges for the use of the bridal suite any more than 2 hours. There's also not a good place for the guys to get ready-on our tour we were told that the guys usually go to the QT  down the street.
Windmioll inclused unlimited use of their changing areas and the one for the bride is awesome-even has a shower, also enough space for mom and BP.
I would look into a different cake baker as I wasn't impressed with the samples from her.
If you haven't looked at the reviews on WeddingWire.com you should-also yelp.com.

</div><div>I have a tour on Friday so fingers crossed that all goes well! I didn't know that about Encantera, makes me have doubts about it. Thank you for sharing that info, I probably would not have found out otherwise.

  • Good luck on the tour. They may now have a sane policy so be sure to ask. The facility is really nice and the food's really good, but we did prefer Windmill.
