so...
I spent most of my day yesterday looking at wedding hair.
I'm on the fence because my hair is natural BUT it's very short (I keep my hair in a perpetual state of "shortness" such as fades, low cuts, whatever else I desire at that time). It won't be grown out by the wedding for the hairstyle I want to have. I do not plan on wearing my hair natural and/or applying heat to it so it will be a protective style such as a weave but then I stumbled onto these pics....

and

which I love both of these styles but they are both achieved with "lace front wigs" *side-eye* I mean I know there are quality lace-fronts out there but I'm hesitant.
The reason I think a high-quality lace front would be better is because our honeymoon is going to involve a lot of water activities and I don't know if I want wet-weave head (because please understand when I get in the water I have NO restraint so I get somewhat carried away, just being truthful). This way the lace-front can be taken off if I so decide to go back and rock my natural for the honeymoon.
What do you ladies think of this idea? Hot or Not?
Re: Lace Front Wig??? (PIP)
hot: versatile, can trick it out anyway you wanna, removable, authentic looking, high quality ones will stand up to lots of wear.
not: flawless appearance is in the application. {I see your sideye and I'll raise you an eyebrow}. lace fronts as a concept were initally meant for industries where the hair always needs to be on point (tyra, beyonce and nem). They weren't meant to be worn in natural sunlight by the everyday diva, but alas, where there's money to be made.....
when properly applied, they look awesome. If you're wiliing to consider pressing your edges, you could just as easily achieve the same effect with a regular wig so that you separate just enough of the front (of your hair) to cover the wig weft
ygpm by the way.
I'm going with a protective style too most likely so I totally understand but I'm doing something more along the lines of how I normally wear my hair.

<div>LOL wow...</div><div>
</div><div>Hey do you have enough hair to get a good grip? I knew a girl that cut all her hair off to start over & after about 3 inches she got braids. If you do you could try a sew-in, I really like the 1st pix</div>
@sultry that's what I was thinking in regards to the lace front...the application is crucial. I'll see you that eyebrow and raise you a screwface though
@mrsboss....I'm all the way #teamnatural too!
@soontobe....O, wow. yea I saw her too yesterday in my online browsing...smh
[QUOTE]That second pic is MsChandra she is on youtube. She got that wig from Friday Night Hair They have some really nice lace front wigs but there synthetic I have about 4 of those wigs

Yes that what she said when I was on the page that she "dolled it up" a bit. I think for a synthetic that wig looks very good. Then again she mentioned she is a hair stylist so I'm sure her application was next to flawless....
If I were to go with the lace front it'd be 100% human hair and custom made. I'm thinking of trying to find a stylist to give me a trial run application with a less expensive wig. I figure the wig would be a better long term investment of $300 than a sew-in which is only a one-time affair...
but it's still risky nevertheless....
How do you like the wigs from the site @MrsHoward2Be?
