Cousin who doesn't call/text/email/write/send homing pigeons/smoke signal sent me a text this morning:

Do u have any extra money. My unemployment check got held 4 14 days when I re certified:-$

    Shaking my head. My BIL sent out a mass letter to all family and friends asking for money to help him find a church to pastor. Rolled my eyes at that one. I wish I still had it, but I think my husband trashed it.

    Wz, I'm not playing into this.When she was here last month, she was bragging about her new boyfriend to anyone who would listen. When she was here at Christmas she was bragging about cheating on her boyfriend of however many years with a (married) man.

    I'm pretty sure she can come up with something.

    Is your cousin related to my SIL's mom...SIL told me some nonsense last night about paying her mom's cell phone/internet bill to the tune of almost $300.  I was all, "what the what?"

    Hooka, he feels called to work in a smaller, poorer locale. He also has a wife and daughter to support. So instead of counting on that whole birds of the air, lilies of the field bit, they sent out a mass mailing asking for money to cover costs.

    these are the same folks who are getting a ton of help from the church they currently go to, he is on unemployment, oh and btw, they purchased a Playstation 3 not that long ago. Yeah.

    jojo, I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at that.

    My cousin probably can't get a job because she's a for real alcoholic. She got me an aluminum bottle for Christmas and told me that's how she snuck alcohol to work.

    And the thing is, I like my BIL. He's a good guy. I'm not my SIL biggest fan, I am still hesitant about hosting them in my home after the grief we went through when they visited last summer. Most of the issues we had were due to her actions. I have a feeling most of the letter was totally her.
