I need some suggestions

Hey everyone! I am clueless about music for the ceremony. Marc and I are getting married at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament. We're having a full mass. I don't want the traditional wedding march or Cannon D. What did you guys use (or will you be using) for your ceremony? Or even if you didn't use it, any suggestions are appreciated! I'm trying to think outside the box, but it's difficult because I don't know what will sound good played by an organ. Thanks all!

Edit: I should mention that my cousin (who freakin rocks and was accepted to Fredonia's music program) is going to be singing. I have to pick 5-6 songs for her to do while people are arriving (Boo, I don't know if I'm going to get to hear any of it

) in addition to processional, recessional, etc. She will be singing Ava Maria during the mass. That's all I've got.

Even though I will probably end up doing something more traditional, I really want to have "A Whole New World" from Aladdin. I absolutely love that song and it was the first song I learned to play on the piano. I also think it would be an appropriate song to start a marriage. Chris and my mom, on the other hand, think it would be silly and that people wouldn't "get" it. Hopefully I can convince them.

Before you start looking too far into music, make sure you check with the church. I fell in love with "Marry Me" by Train, but the church would not allow any secular music. They basically gave me a handful of songs to choose from for different parts of the ceremony. I ended up (grudgingly) using Canon in D.

Definitely heck with the church first then explore your options. Catholic ceremonies have very strict guidelines.

That's actually what my bridal planner suggested for songs during the ceremony -- to play a song that we like, but an instrumental or classical version so it's more wedding-y. :)</div><div>
