Bridesmaid Tote Bags

I have been thinking about getting my bridesmaids tote bags with some items in as their wedding gifts.  Is anyone else doing this?  Where are you getting your tote bags at?  What did you put in them?  The things I have thought of including so far are a bottle of water, a small pack of kleenex, a necklace for them to wear the day of the wedding, and a card thanking them for being in my wedding and for being so wonderful.  I also should say that we are having a 10 year old flower girl and would like to get her something similar, but perhaps a smaller tote bag.

Re: Bridesmaid Tote Bags

  • I'm doing this!  I caught one of the many sales on TK store.  The one I got for my bridesmaids is no longer on there.  I got this one for $15 my flowergirl http://weddingshop.theknot.com/gingham-tote.aspx
For my flowergirl I'm going to put coloring books and toys in it.
For my bridesmaids I'm buying survival kits from Sephora.  I got fuzzy flip flop slippers for them.  I'm thinking I'll also put the little "shooter" bottles of kinky or something, or an emergency mimosa kit.

  • I am doing this too! I actually got some burlap totes from the company store that were on clearance for 2 each. I've made coasters for them and am going to add gifts that fit them, as well as a gift card probably. When I got the bags I was surprised how big they are so ill probably add a survival kit to it too!

  • I'm doing this too! I found bags for my bridesmaids on CafePress.com - they're a little quirky but I found bags that fit each bridesmaid's personality. I haven't decided on gifts yet, but I'm thinking something different for each one. I love the survival kit idea too!
  • I am doing this as well...got a really good deal on TK actually. Filling the bags with a card, jewelry, a bottle of wine (different typed based on the girl's preference) and probably a gift card to their local favorite salons/spas.

  • I am on the the tote bag band wagon as well!  I purchased 3 canvas bags  and the supplies from Hobby Lobby and I will be attempting to make THESE.  I will be putting their gifts inside which right now only includes a shawl and necklace to wear for the wedding so I know I neeed to get a couple of other things that are not for the wedding.

  • I am too! I got mine on etsy.com I think they were 40$ for 5 bags or something around there - GREAT DEAL and quality! In them I am  putting bridesmaid/MOH t-shirt,  fun wine glass, maybe a small bottle of liquor. A picture frame with a picture of me and each bridesmaid, and kleenex, and a card of course. I was thinking of getting little nail polishes and lip glosses that I think they'd like too, but not sure yet!

  • I was also thinking of doing this, but I'm unsure of what totes to buy.  I know two of my bridesmaids don't like totes with their initials on them.  I've been looking online and everything that I like (it's how things go with me...) are like $60 each, times 5 bridesmaids, plus items to fill the totes with...I'm still looking.  Last week I was in Target and they had some cute ones, but I couldn't focus to pick bags.

I'm going to fill mine with flats for the wedding in case feet begin to hurt, a necklace and earrings and a pashmina to keep them warm.
  • I'm doing tote bags for my girls. I only have 2 and my FMIL (who is the Queen of Garage Sales/Thrift Stores) found 2 really cute canvas bags that were unused at a yard sale. I just took them to the embroidery kiosk at the mall and had their names stitched on them. Then I sent out little questionaires (kind of like the ones you do for a secret santa) to find out more stuff about them that I didn't know. So far without going over their responses I'm putting a survival kit plus a pearl bracelet.
