I really like the way chair covers look, but i don't want to pay $3 a chair for them (at 300 guests, that's almost $1000). Does anybody have a DIY idea to make chairs look nicer? Or, do you know where you can rent covers at a cheaper price?
Yes unfortunately that is the usual price, sometimes you can get the chair covers and sashes put on and taken off for that price, which is nice not to have to worry about that. PLus it really does make the room look so much nicer, unless your chairs are not bad looking. then you could think of just getting sashes ( i am). you can get them for satin a dollar each off of ebay, and just entrust a couple family member to tie them. hope you find what works best for you.
I'm thinking of just purchasing chair covers off www.linentablecloth.com, they are $2.69 a piece with a white sash already attached. A bit cheaper than renting them, plus we can sell them on ebay or something afterwards to get some of our money back. Just need to determine logistics of getting them all steamed and on the chairs looking nice. I think I'm gonna have to enlist a lot of volunteers.
Re: chair covers
Chair covers do look nice. How do the chairs look? If you don't mind only covering part of the chair a cheaper alternative would be to tie tulle around the back of the chairs.like at this site.
