Out of town Flowergirl

My fiance and I want my niece to be our flower girl. She will be 3 onthe date of the wedding, and lives in TN. (we live in SC) so obviously she can't come by herself. Do we pay for her and her mom to fly here?

Re: Out of town Flowergirl

  • I would say no.  Just like any other member of the wedding party, traditionally she (and whoever else is invited to the wedding) is responsible for getting there and paying for her own dress.  Since her family is invited, you shouldnt feel obligated to get her to the wedding.
  • No.  Transportation and the FG dress are her parent's responsibility

If they won't be able to attend without your help and you want her to be your FG that badly, then you can offer to pay, but I wouldn't expect to have my flight paid for because a family member was getting married and asked my daughter to be a part of it.

  • Thanks for the response ladies!! As it turns out, mom said she can't be the flower girl anyways. Huge upset. Cry
