So the other night I tried to put my irresistible moves on FI. (kidding)..... and he stopped me and suggested we take a break until the wedding night to try to make it a little more *racy*. I know this is only 2 weeks for us, (not to mention 5 out of those 14 days I will be out of commission anyway... told you TMI!) so its not a big deal at all for us... but it got me wondering if this is something we should have though of earlier, and how many people actually do this...
Re: TMI Poll! Abstaining before your wedding night...?
[QUOTE]Someone had been talking about this a few months before we got hitched and I suggested it to DH. He laughed. We lived together prior to the wedding, I don't think we could do it. ha

FI and I are in the same boat.... if it was more than 2 weeks I think we'd fail too. But we sure are going to try these last couple weeks!
Being married is a real thriller!
If two weeks of not having sex is going to make your wedding night "racy"...more power to you. Seems silly to me.

I didn't get the sarcasm out of you either, so I don't think you were doing it right if that's what you meant.
We had thought we were going to do this, but in the end it just never happened. The wedding night wasn't anything special though- it was like eh, so if you are looking to make it special, you're going to be too tired to care anyways. The next few nights are different, but wedding night for us was not very exciting.

Thought the fact that I put *racy* in mocking stars like that, and flat out said ITS NOT A BIG DEAL TO US was enough for people to get the message that abstaining for 2 weeks was not going to make or break the wedding night.... just that it got me thinking.
Next time I'll put something like :insert sarcasm here: if thats not enough.... though I feel like the majority of people got it.

but IMO, don't hold off. You're going to want it as a *release* as the wedding gets closer, and if you think the wedding night is going to be this amazing round, it's not (at least for me and for all others I've talked to). It will be special regardless.

Thank you Allie.
That's not to say that it won't be special because it's the first time as H and W, it will be special regardless.
