Question for past brides and brides-to-be

How much time are you or did you take off from work for your wedding and honeymoon?

I think 2 weeks is our limit for time off. Did you all take the whole week of the wedding off and the next week for the honeymoon or did you just take the middle of the week off?

We're still trying to plan our honeymoon and it's starting to get a little tricky. Almost 2 whole days of our vacation is travel time.

    Taking off 1/2 day from work the day before (Friday) and then 1 week after (for honeymoon). Not going to use more vacation days until we move into our house

    I am taking off a total of two and a half weeks basically- the three days before the wedding, then our honeymoon is two weeks long.

    For your purposes I would just look at what's important to you and what all you think you'll have to get done the week leading up to your wedding. If you get everything done beforehand, you might be able to just take off two or three days before the wedding, leaving you with a longer honeymoon.

    I took off two weeks. The week before and the week afterwards (for the honeymoon). I didn't have a whole lot to do beforehand I just wanted to be able to relax and not think about work that week! hope that helps!

    Like PP, I am taking off the week of to lounge around and the week after plus Monday for Honeymoon.  We have a Monday departure so we could spend time with family from out of town on Sunday.

    i took friday before the wedding off and so did my best friend and we did our mani pedis that day. i worked from home on that thursday before. then i took the whole week off the next week and it just so happened that the following weekend was a three day weekend so i got another day off for free. Lol!

    I took off Wed-Fri before our wedding then the whole next week for our HM

    2 weeks total - 2 days before the wedding and luckily the Monday afterward is a holiday. Then we delayed our honeymoon until after my graduate school quarter and are flying on a Wednesday and leaving for an 11 day trip.

    I took the week before off and the week after.  I needed every minute of the week before to tie up loose ends and get all of my stuff done!
