How did you do your vendor table?

Probably a silly question but- Did your vendor table at your reception have a centerpiece? Was it smaller than the other centerpieces? What did you do for them?

I didn't even give them a "table" in the room...I didn't even think of that. I hope I wasn't supposed to. I think they ate either in the other room or at a table out in the hallway. I wouldn't waste your money on a centerpiece for the table for them.

I've never heard of putting them in the reception room. I think most halls have a room set aside for them. That way they can keep their extra stuff in there, too.

My vendors all ate out in the cocktail hour room they didn't have their own table in the ballroom.  Check with your venue, but I don't think the vendors usually have their own table

I did. And they said they would have a table set up for them in main ball room. I remember at my FSIL wedding the vendors were also in the main ballroom off to the side-but no centerpiece on their table

Also doing sandwiches and snacks for vendors in a separate room. I think KewlTif had mentioned this previously and it makes sense that these people wouldn't want to eat wedding food since they are always eating it.

I have never heard of giving vendors something to eat rather than the food at the reception. Thats a cool idea. My contract states i am not allowed to bring in outside food though.

You make a good point! Be sure those who are bringing in sandwiches are allowed becasue some halls won't let you. Making you pay for vendor meals is revenue for them so they may not wany you to take that away.

Mine will eat in the cocktail hour room or in an upstairs room. I've never seen them eat in the reception room either.

They ate in a separate room, and it was not the regular reception food -- it was sandwiches and such so they didn't have to sit down for a long time.  That's what our venue does, not what we opted to do.

Good thing you brought this up, b/c I do have to ask our venue about this.  I would probably think that they put them in the cocktail room so no CP is necessary.

At our venue we have a choice of a dinner or sandwiches for our vendors. The recommend doing the sandwiches so they can eat it whenever, and it won't atter if it goes cold so that is what we are doing

I didn't think about where they would be sitting, but I'm paying $45 per plate for vendors which is the price for children under 12 as well.....regular plate is $120 so that's a great savings...I guess I know have to find out where they're sitting I will not be getting a centerpiece for that table

For our hall if you are paying the vendor meal rate for them (discounted) they are not serving the vendors the "wedding food" but sandwiches instead. This seems pretty common.

Our vendors ate the same food we did in a separate room and I honestly don't know where.   All I needed to know was that they did eat.
