dress choice help

I've narrowed down my dress choices down to 2 (I think). I've tried on both twice now and am going back and forth but need to decide soon. I am intentionally looking for something on the simpler  side (not a ton of beading, etc) and A-line. Both these dresses fit what I am looking for and both backs are simliar - ie. buttons down the back, which I love.
Both dresses seem to look good on me and fit me well and are within my budget with alterations (though #2 is a little more of a stretch, but still within my limit). I know pictures are hard to tell (you can't see the material, etc) - but does anyone have an opinion on either of these (pics from the web).

Re: dress choice help

  • I like the second one. :)

  • I love the second dress

    Anniversary
  • I think they're both pretty, but because of the horizontal lines on the bodice of the first I'm guessing that the second will be more flattering.  It's hard to say for sure without seeing them on you though.

  • I actually like the first one. But you have to go with your gut! Which one do you think about more?
  • I like the 1st one too, but they are both pretty - close your eyes and picture yourself at your venue on that day.  Which dress are you wearing??  That's your dress.
  • Thanks for the input. I do have pictures of me in the dress, but the first one didn't come out well (due to my mom's photography skills - not becuse of the way the dress looked), so I didn't bother posting them.  I actually find myself leaning a bit more to the first one - I love the bottom and the bodice and bottom are actually mixed layers of satin and organza - which I think helps to soften it. However, I do love the material of the second dress too - it is very unique and obviously can't quite tell from the picture.
  • The second one is absolutley beautiful!!
  • Here are the best pics I have of the dresses on me (sample sizes of course). My mom is still learning to use camera phone, so that is why these pictures aren't great, and she only managed to get 1/3 of my body, so I feel like it isn't too accurate (ie. no the bottom part of the 1 dress which I like).

  • They're both really pretty on you. On the first dress, it seems like you'd have more alteration in the bodice area than on the second.

73 Jewels gave good advice. What do you see yourself wearing on that day? You can't go wrong with either of these!
