AW: Look at my map

I'm trying to distract myself, so I embedded an interactive map onto my website. It's pretty stinkin' awesome IMO. Kinda cluttered right now, though, since just about everything is within a pretty small radius of Winter Park. So I'm thinking about having it start out zoomed out some more, or just taking off some of the restaurants and such. Discuss.

Anybody ever see that SNL 'Coffee Talk' bit? "Rhode Island - neither a road, nor an island. Discuss." Love it.

How did you make the map?  That is really great!  Ya its hard b/c winter park is so small but you have a lot of good places on the map.  Can it zoom in and still show everything and all the places won't look like they are on top of eachother, even though everything is within like 5 mins of eachother!

Yep, you can zoom in and out. I think it's easier to just open the website and look at it there, because then you also get the list of locations broken up by category.

I used weddingmapper.com - I'm not completely happy with it because I know it's overwhelming to look at, so I think I might also make some smaller, static maps with just a few things labeled and post them on the page as well.

I have decided to make more than one map, so I can have one zoomed in on just WP stuff and another on downtown Orlando, and then the big one so folks can see where the airports and attractions are and whatnot.

so I clicked on the link you put and I really like how you have everything set up!  I think its good that you have all those locations on the map but then there is a way to search and see the different things they may need, like if they are looking for a bank or looking to see how to get to Casa Feliz.  I'm excited to make my wedding map!
