We had our first marriage counseling session last night. It went well. The pastor did most of the talking and gave us tips for the big issues we may have in the marriage. He wants us to do the quiz "Laugh your way to a better marriage" to discover our strengths and weakness.

The next time we meet we will discuss the ceremony details. As we were sitting there, I kept thinking "holy crap, I'm getting married in a couple months!"

I loved our counseling! I need to email the deacon to set up a time to go over details soon; and also the music coordinator.

Today I'm ordering our invitations!

And, NWR I filed my federal taxes last night and they were accepted this morning. I'm getting a small refund but every little bit helps.

I got my taxes back yesterday.... I was REALLY hoping for a big return, but it just didnt happen. It was big enough to cover the remainder of the wedding expenses so that is a relief.... I was just REALLY hoping there would be enough to get one of the house projects done. OH WELL!!

I did my taxes over the weekend and am planning on buying FI's wedding band and paying off a credit card with the rest.

I am going to owe $3 for my taxes. When I saw that number, I literally laughed. Oh well, no return for me.

I love my premartial counseling. I think we only have a couple more sessions to go. I think I may miss it when its gone.

Sarah seeing that just made me giggle!

I have to send in my state taxes but otherwise ours are all filed and when we get the money back it's all going towards debt and savings.

Had my first fitting last night with the sweetest woman on planet earth. Because my aunt referred us, she's giving us a discount! I'm going back on March 19 to try it on after she lets it out a little bit up top. Then we can do the hem and bustle. It was a little tight, so that'll be nice. Sorry, I don't have any pictures from last night but this is my dress in case someone hasn't seen it.

We also went to Hobby Lobby and purchased more flowers, including the blue ones they told us they'd never get in again. We cleared them out of those. We also found some ribbon and a baseball charm for my garter.

FI owed ONE DOLLAR for his state taxes last year. Seriously?! LOL!

I meant to share this a week ago but our invitations arrived last week :) Last night we started the process or looking at tuxes--which I didn't realize was going to be so involved. I can't wait to see the final product though :)

Midge - Your dress is amazing.

We picked up my wedding band yesterday and table cloths. Mom is working on printing the invites for us to put together.

Wedding stuff is a little on the back burner right now until we figure out a living arrangement. However, we do have all the major wedding stuff done. Invites will be next month.

With these 2 colors. They are the closest I can get to my Slate Blue and Pale Gold. I circled the colors but you can barely see the lines. Oops.

I feel like I got so much done yesterday, but in reality, not too much. Oh well, it all needs to get done, right?
I ordered the unity candle stand, now all we need are the candles
I ordered the cake topper, hopefully I'll be able to figure out a way to glue on some rhinestones and make it a little sparkly

I ordered these really awesome paper flowers made out of vintage hymnal sheet music (FI's a band director, these were so cute and will be so "personal" for him/us, that I just couldn't pass them up!)
I ordered the aisle runner. . .I was originally not going to do one, thinking to cut down on costs, but the carpet in the church is this really ugly maroon color and it only cost me about $30 to get one from linentablecloth.com, AND it's satin on one side and polyester on the other. . .Super exctied!
I made an appointment for us to (FINALLY!!) meet with the pastor that is going to marry us for friday, SO GLAD that is taken care of! I was stressing that we weren't going to have anyone to marry us!

AND. . . . Last but not least. . . . I called my grandpa yesterday, he and my grandma are paying for the first and last legs of our flights- we're going to Fiji and instead of booking the round trip all at once, and having a 5-13 hour layover somewhere, we booked each part separately and are flying from seatac to LA and LA to Fiji. . .we've only gotten the LA to fiji part booked, but grandpa is sending out a check for us (plus extra for baggage, he's so sweet!!) to pay for the seatac-LA and LA to seatac flights!! I'm So excited!!! I can't believe Fiji is acutally happening!! YAY!!

I also got my hair trial tonight! It's simple but I love it. I didn't realize until after she took the picture that you couldn't see the headband so that's why there's a second picture.

She was even able to twist it on the sides without the bobby pins showing! I didn't get a picture of the sides, but it looked a lot like the other hair trial I had.

Congrats on the checks everyone! Jess, I love your dress and how your hair turned out.

I managed to get 1 invite done... this is definitely becoming a slow process with other things going on.
