    I'm not sure what you mean; the gf was probably excited to see all the cool things that the world of weddings had to offer and was likely just caught up. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be offensive but since there is already bad blood there you probably took it very personally.

    Was it that she didn't have any suggestions for you like the WP did?

    I think I'm just trying to find the offensive and rude part; it just seems you're very upset this girl had a good time with her bf and his family. I personally wouldn't have cared one way or another what she did at the expo especially since I didn't want her there anyway.

    I think more clarification is needed because it came off very much like the focus should be on you and you alone even for the people you don't like and that don't like you...

    Let me guess - poster deleted the text that originally went along with her survey, huh?

    Your survey needs another answer: it depends.  If a bridesmaid hijacks every conversation a bride-to-be tries to have with a potential vendor, it's rude.  If she takes notes and fliers for her own benefit, and occasionally talks to a different vendor (instead of playing cooing yes-man for the bride,) she's fine.  If both are brides-to-be and want to go together, they should share the experience, each expecting that the other will be mostly focused on her own wedding plans.

    I thought it might be.  I'm really curious why the offender would have been "invited to an event for someone else's wedding" if, as you say, they don't like each other in the first place.

    It was an expo; from what OP said she invited FMIL to appease FI. FMIL brought FFIL, FBIL and FBILs gf.

    Ok so gf and OP don't get along; everyone goes to the expo and splits up.

    When the gang reunites, OP is upset that gf had a good time looking at stuff and fantasizing about her own wedding rather than focusing on OPs wedding.

    It was a tough call, but OP believes it was rude that gf wasn't focusing on her. I think that's the basic gist of it...
