It's so adorable!!! I found a bird cage for really cheap the other weekend, so I'm going to dress it up with ribbons and lace next time I'm home and feeling crafty.
This might be a dumb question, but I love this style of a card box and was trying to figure out how you would go about making one of them. Are the top two boxes "bottomless"?
I also agree that yours is way cuter than your inspiration pic!

It is 3 hat boxes we bought them at Michaels then we cut a hole through the bottom of 2 of them so the cards drop down to the bottom of the box.

OOH I love that one!!!! It is not that hard. Just buy whatever shape boxes you want. Cut a slit somewhere for the cards. Then you cut wholes in the boxes so the cards can drop to the bottom. Then wrap them in satin fabric and hot glue your embellishments.
I just emailed some inspiration pictures to my mom and asked if she was feeling taking on a glue gunning project. My mom has done wonders in the past with her hot glue gun so we will see what happens!!
Thanks for the inspiration and the tips lady!! How much were the hat boxes that you got at Michael's? It seems like it would be worth the effort to DIY for this project since the boxes that I like on etsy are $100+....
The boxes came out to like $15 bucks. It is definitely worth it to try it on your own. It ended up costing about $60 bucks to make it. I am going to resell it afterwards and give my mom whatever money I make back since she bought all of the supplies.
Love it! I'm planning on making mine also, but with a lighthouse on top with the box covered in moss. Getting married married in Door Co. Wisconsin. Wish me luck
