Accountability - Tuesday

Alright, so many of you have seen the new workout challenge that is stickied at the top of the Sept 2012 board. If you haven't, check it out! Many of us have also become friends on My Fitness Pal recently, so if you haven't joined the train on friending everyone there, let us know what your user name is! Mine is simple... BMcLeodTeam lol The same as on here...

I didn't get a chance to work out this morning. I got up in time to, alarm went off... but you see, Pets can be as hard to deal with at times as children... Needless to say I still wanna get SOME form of workout in today, so I'm thinking walk the dogs tonight and do some strength work, maybe a focus on arms today lol

  • It's 10am and I already walked almost 2 miles (to work) this morning! Woot! I'm planning on walking the 2 miles home, and then approx. 1 mile to the grocery store. And maybe another .5 mile during lunch. I live/work in a city so it's really easy to get a ton of walking in and easy to estimate mileage (1 block is approx .1 mile in this city). I'm trying to make this a daily habit and not take public transportation. I"ll try not to eat crap for lunch lol.

  • Yay I'm a HUGE fan of the new sticky challenge! Sunday and Monday consisted of a run through of different workouts I have pinned off of pinterest hahaha

    It must be working because I am definately feeling it today! So I may do an easier version of this today followed up by an incline walk routine at the gym with FI when he is done work.
  • Yesterday I worked a half day and went home in the afternoon and ran 5 miles.  It was SO HOT outside.  It will be good practice to run in the heat for races later on in the summer.  I felt like I wasn't even running and my pace definitely was much slower.  FI's boss ran the Boston Marathon yesterday.  I couldn't imagine running 26 miles in mid 80+ heat.  It got to about 90 in the afternoon.  Whew!
  • A friend of mine run the Boston Marathon yesterday, so proud of her!
    Trins - I am glad you like the new challenge :) I figured we can all use a little extra accountability every now and then lol
  • Alright so I am on a MAJOR salad kick right now lol That's my lunch every day at work, some sort of salad lol

    Today its mixed greens, apples, dried cranberries, walnuts and raspberry poppyseed dressing.

    I feel well enough to go to the gym today but i woke up 5 minutes before I had to leave for work and didn't even have enough time to shower let alone pack my gym bag. The gym is at my work so there is really no going home to get dressed and then coming back to the gym. 

    I am trying to decide if I want to just go tomorrow or if I want to walk from work to Whole Foods and then  to the mall where I can catch the free bus home. It would give me a 2 mile walk and it is nice out.

    <div>FI and I have a whole foods about 6 blocks from our apartment, so I usually walk there every week with my little old lady push cart. </div>

    <div>Yummy! That was my exact salad this week and last too except I added gorgonzola cheese. I try to mix up a new salad each week to keep things interesting. I was thinking about doing a modified cobb salad for next week. I sure do love them, but they can be really high in calories. I was thinking more veggies, no avacado, egg whites only so that I can still have bacon and cheese. </div>

  • I am on a serious salad kick. lol Not sure what salad I'll do next, but this one has me hooked right now lol
  • I was about 100 calories over today, which isn't awesome, but it could be worse.  I didn't notice the work out challenge, so I will have to check it out!
