boudoir session

So I am doing it! I have booked a session for 2/9 which happens to be the day before my birthday. I think my FI will be surprised I did something like this and love it. I plan on doing something sexy with his hunting clothes and who knows what else. I am pretty nervous but excited at the same time. Is anyone else planning on doing something like this?

I'm doing one! I think It will be a good surprise for FI. I'm going to wear a hockey jersey for some. My other outfit is still in the works.

I did it back in October while CJ was in China for work. It was fun! Ive been so tempted to show him the book I had made, but I've held out! Can't wait to give it to him!

i'm doing one too! i just booked it this week! it's not until april, so i still have time to get my outfits. i plan on giving it to my fiance for his wedding present. i'm still not sure of how i will get to/from the shoot without him knowing whats going on. i may get lucky though, he might have to go on a 2 or 3 weeklong trip for work in april.

i also want to go tanning for a little before that so i look good! haha. i'm thinking for my outfits i will get a nice matching set from VS and then maybe play it up with some pearls and heels.

I'm doing one!! My cousin is in college for photography and she's going to do some at a discount! Good news is I can trust her not to use the pics ;-P I think I'm going to wear a broncos jersey and then a cute set from VS! Can't wait

I'm still trying to lose weight and firm up my abs, but I'm planning on doing one for our first anniversary. I think it definite couts as the "paper" gift. I will end up doing a cute outfit from VS and perhaps a white oxford and a tie?

I actually asked FI if he'd like something like this, thinking he'd be all for it, and he told me yes but only if he was the one taking the pictures. He's really uncomfortable with the idea of someone else taking the pictures. Good thing I asked cuz I was totally going to do one.

The same thing happened with me. I thought FI would love it and I asked him aobut it and he wasn't sure how he felt about it. I was a little disappointed bc I think it would've been fun..oh well :-)

I usually work on boudoir sets as the make up artist and most of the girls getting it done are for wedding presents, I really love the idea personally so I booked mine for April too!

One of my best friends from high school is working on getting his photography business off the ground so he asked me do one so that he can get the extra practice in. I did one but found that I didn't have the self confidence to really get into it. I'm at the heaviest I've ever been right now though so maybe after I lose the weight I'll be into it more. I love that everyone is so excited for these, I've heard that they can be really fun when you get into it.

I was supposed to have mine next week, but I have to reschedule! I think I am hoping to wait until may or June I'd like to lose another 20 lbs!

I wanted to do this but probably wouldn't have had the balls to actually go through with it, but then I won a session at a bridal show so tada!

They will be FI's weddign gift, my BM (hairdresser) is going to go with me and do a shoot to give to her husband, they are planning to start trying to get pregnant in the fall (their 2nd anniversary will be 3 days after our wedding) So she wants to give them to him when she tells him she's pregnant, like here ya go babe something to remember me by, I'm pregnant, you won't see this ever again LOL

I'm hoping to do a session as well but can't figure out how I could really surprise FI -- I have no available time off from work and he's not travelling anytime soon.

For the ladies whose FI's are uncomfortable -- they really care if an, ostensibly, straight woman take photos of you? I would definitely feel uncomfortable with a man (and being comfortable is so important for great photos), but I never would give a second thought about a woman taking my picture.

yeah, the lady i booked with states right out that it is all women in the room, no men are allowed in, etc. etc. and i think that the only one actually in the room with me is the lady taking the photos. plus, i've heard she gives you a glass of wine when you get there (to drink while getting hair/makeup done) so you feel more relaxed. i'm actually really excited.

i'm usually very shy but i don't know why, i just don't feel like it will be that awkward or weird. i'm shy talking to people, but i think if i'm one on one with someone, it won't be that bad.

i know my FI has said previously that he wants pictures of me, but i don't know if he'll be weirded out that someone else took them. i'm hoping to surprise him with it, and i guess that i can show him that it was a normal lady to who took them, then hopefully he won't mind.

Back in June when FI had moved before me my MOH took some since she has a professional grade camera and did a lot of photojournalism classes. I saw them on the camera but I actually still haven't gotten them from her (she's editing our e-pics now from last week so hope to get both before she moves in 2 weeks). I also bought the glamour shots $20 groupon for boudoir pics since I wanted a backup and they do your hair and makeup for you (I did my own for the first set). I did a few sexy shots with my FI's favorite baseball tee and then I wore a lacy bra from VS, some panties, and my wedding heels. One struggle with the ones I took over the summer though is I don't have any modeling/acting/etc experience so it was hard to make certain emotions on command (like she'd tell me to smile with only my eyes...uhh). So we did find that taking interesting angular shots of my body without the focus on my face were really striking. So if you are a little unnerved (or can't keep a straight face) maybe try this approach. Plus, since she's getting started I told her she could add anything without my face to her portfolio! When I finally get them from her (hopefully soon), I'd be willing to share (via email). I'm oddly comfortable with my clothes off though haha!

I bought a groupon for it, but its only 2 "costume" changes, and it expires in April, SO
i think im going to be on the look out for another one. This one I think im gonna try and do kinda playboy style, with like "themes" I wanna do one wear I am wearing USC gear and have that black paint under my eyes like a football player, and hopefully be able to do a second one after the bridal shower and wear some cute white and blue outfits in the second set.
