Less than 3 weeks to go....might need a DJ

FI mentioned we might want to find a DJ. Not sure we are going to have time to do the music ourselves. My laptop has been out of commision since June (hard drive is failing). FI has not had time to fix it....

So, need ideas of where to find a DJ on short notice. Not sure I want to go with a super high end DJ. I don't think we need all of the lights and effects.

I'm kinda bummed we might not be doing the music ourselves. I've had a running list of songs going since around May.

No suggestions on djs, but most of them will play whatever music you ask them to play. All the ones I met with said we could be as involved in the selection process as we wanted to be -- so if you want your music played, just give them the list!

We are using Tim Hazzell (http://www.tjdjmusic.com/) who is in the Briar Creek area. He is just staring out so he is very reasonable and willing to work with your budget. You can give him a list of music to play also.

You can also rent DJ equipment if you want to do it yourself. Especially since you have a list of music already... just an option

Try Anything Music DJ. They are very well priced for unlimited hours it is only 695. They are doing our wedding next September and I went to a wedding where they were the DJ and had a blast. they have several DJ's to choose from and you don't have to worry about time because it is unlimited. They also do ceremony music if you need it. The owner is Tyler Rhodes and his number is (919) 627-0288.

If you are on a really tight budget, check your local craigslist listings for a DJ - or ask a family member/friend to Ipod DJ for you with their equipment.

Joe Bunn has so many associate DJs, he might have someone with an opening. They're really great, you should definitely call and at least ask. Last minute you might even be able to work out a deal.

Shelly, I think that this close, you should call them up and say this is my budget, this is my date, this is what I need, are you available? When things are this close, if they're not booked and your budget covers their expenses, they'll likely take it.
