Someone just wanted to know what your favors are, CANUMBERSTHATSCREAMREALLOUD.
To whoever asked, her favors are jars of jam because her initials are JAM or something. Waitaminnit? Isn't that something that matters to no one except the bride and groom? Like coffee or martinis - the two examples given in the ALL IMPORTANT STICKY????

I haven't decided on favors as my wedding is a year away. IF we decided to do them, yes, we may do jam because of our initials. But who knows, we may not. It's edible and wont sit around on a shelf collecting dust, and if no one takes them, they can be taken to a homeless shelter and donated.
I closed the thread because I don't think ragging on someone (regardless of who they are) is necessary. If someone was saying mean things to any user, I would lock that thread as well.

Well then you may as well lock the thread where YOU were mean and ragging on someone.

Thanks, I'm not nice enough to be a mod. Also I'm lazy.
And she can close all the discussion she wants. There's nothing on t.v. tonight anyway so I can start more threads. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-sealed.gif" border="0" alt="Sealed" title="Sealed" />

Did you see that she went back through and edited her original response to that thread? She also deleted the "don't be rude..." part to but people had already quoted her. Craziness!!

Dear Mod,
I have not been on this board for very long, but in all honesty and sincerity, I find some of the comments that you have made regarding favors to be harsh. Harsh is not quite the word... your comments seem to be skwered towards your views and opinions of what will work, or not work, as a favor.
I understand the concept behind your sticky notes, but again, I find them to be one sided. For instance, in your opinion favors that only have meaning to the bride and groom are something that will be left behind, and not enjoyed by guest. To be fair, this is not always true, and it would better serve brides to hear both the pros and cons of ideas for popular favors.
I also take offense when you refer posters to your sticky notes. It comes across as the end all of wedding planning, and our personal opinions are not correct. In one thread you referred me to your thread when I responded to a posters question.
I am not asking you to change your personal views, but I do feel that as a Mod, you could better serve this board by providing more pros and cons in your sticky notes.
Thank you,
Aurora Rose

LOL!!! OMG Reese.. <3 it!!
ARV for prez! That was an incredibly well written and fair analysis of the situation. Hopefully the OP realizes why everyone seems so infuriated by her stickies and general demeanor.

<- Bowing....
I would just like the mod to realize that as the <strong>mod</strong>, it would better serve us to have pros and cons, not just one opinion..
Oops, and by "OP" I meant "mod" - stupid acronyms I can't keep straight...
Posted by catemeg
I didnt mean to correct your use of the acronym OP and Mod. My sentiment is that as the moderator of this board, I would think that opinions and comments would be more open-minded. Will EVERY one of your guest LOVE your favors? Um... No.... But we try our best and there isn't one favor out there that is absolutely foolproof. But consistently telling us what will not work, what will collect dust, and what will be left behind, is not, IMHO constructive or helpful. It's just poor form. But I think my soapbox is over on this one.
Thanks to all you ladies for expressing how you felt on the subject, and made me feel safe enough to express what I feel.
