Honeymoon help!

Hi! So my fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon most likely the first week of September. We would like an all inclusive honeymoon that's not in the Caribbeans mainly due to weather/ hurricane season issues. Anyone have any tips on doing this the most cost efficient way or recommend a resort/travel agency that's not overly expensive? Any help is appreciated... Thanks!

I'd say all of the all inclusives, for the most part, are in the Caribbean. There some on the West Coast of Mexico but it's hurricane season there as well. Not knowing your budget, I would recommend going to the Caribbean (there are many islands to choose from) and purchasing trip insurance. As I said in a previous post just this week, a hurricane may impact an island for 3-4 days out of th 6 month season. It could also rain for your entire stay without there being an actual hurricane or rain for someone's entire stay in dry season. There is no predicting anything an it's silly (IMHO) to give up on an idea in the off chance that a hurricane might occur on your particular dates and your particular location.

EDIT- my computer was acting up when I originally posted. Wanted to add that Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao are out of the so-called hurricane belt, meaning that hurricanes won't go that far south. It can happen, but it's very rare. You may feel most comfortable there, but there are not that many all inclusives to choose from.

  • Exactly what jells said. Btw, we've been to the Caribbean 2x's during hurricane season and no problems. We've also been to KW three years in a row during hurricane season. Two years were perfect weather this year....not so much. It rained the whole 5 days we were there. That just goes to prove you can't predict the weather.
  • I am doing a European River crusie. Food, wine, beer, and excursions all included! We chose the Rhine river because it was one of the cheaper ones. We booked super early so it was 2 for 1. Not sure what they are now.
